Snow Removal

|
It is almost impossible for the equipment operators not to push some snow into your driveway. The snow being pushed by the plow will unload whenever it passes a cleared area. This is why snow appears in your freshly-cleared driveway as the plow travels down the street. If you clear an “unload” space on the side of the driveway where the truck approaches, the cleared space will allow the plow to unload BEFORE it reaches your driveway.
Residents should wait until after streets are plowed before removing snow from their driveways, if possible.
If there is a fire hydrant on your property, clear the snow away from the hydrant as soon as possible.
Pile snow from your sidewalks onto your lawn or along the curb. Do not throw snow onto the street.
Plowing crews hired by residents should haul snow away from properties where it cannot be piled. Never push snow into the street or onto neighboring properties. |
